We are very excited to announce the opening of our new gym, the Arctic Fitness Center , this week. It is a great addition to the arena and is one of the best values around. Individual memberships are only $125 per year! This is a very inexpensive way to get in shape or stay in shape.

Our fitness center is designed for both athletes and the general public, and includes a variety of cardiovascular and weight training equipment.  Features include free weights, strength fitness machines, Cybex equipment, treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical machines, and more.

It will be open seven days a week and is available for individual, family, corporate, and team memberships.  To become a member, applications are located at the front desk and will be online shortly.  Check out our Website for more information!

Even though we are starting to wind down the winter season, there are still a number of great events coming up this month at the Arctic Coliseum. 

We have a lot of great high school hockey games coming up: Chelsea High School has five home games (February 3, 6, 20, 25 & 27^th), Saline High School has three home games (February 17, 22 & 24th), and Pinckney High School has five home games (February 2, 9, 13, 16 & 23rd).

Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey classes are in full swing and are the fullest sessions we've ever had.  (But don't worry, there are still spots available to sign up!)  If you haven't seen the three-to-five year-olds in full hockey equipment at our Snow Cubs class, you are really missing out.  These tykes are on the ice from 5:50 - 6:20 p.m. on Thursdays and 10:50 - 11:20 a.m. on Saturdays.  Come watch some of the fun!

We have two theme skates this month and both are on Saturday, February 13.  We have our Olympic Theme Skate from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. to celebrate the start of this year's Winter Olympics.  There will be lots of fun on ice, including Olympic-style games.  Then, our Valentine’s DJ Skate is that night from 7:15 - 9:15 p.m.  Bring your favorite Valentine!

February is another great month at the Arctic Coliseum.  We hope to see you around the rink!
